  Came here for a birthday, the server came and asked if we were okay with water we said yes but did order some drinks, he still didn't bring us cups for water. We finally received the cups for water and he poured it and splashed half of it on my husband and I an didn't even care to notice. We then were poured water that was so warm it was disgusting. We ordered the bruschetta (terrible) it was like pita bread with tomatoes absolutely no flavor. As we got the bread they said they would be right back with the oil, it never came. Food wasn't good at all, way to expensive and bad quality. As we received our bill the water that was piss warm was $7 , we not once were told that the water was extra he just poured it. The water that came later once the bottle was gone was ice water and actually enjoyable was free. He took the water off the bill, and came back with these two shots (I think) didn't say one word what they were and said here is for the confusion. They smelt like cleaner, we didn't want to sample as we didn't see them come from the bar, they looked like cleaner coming from the back. Terrible experience, became humorous to us by the end. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Bad food, service, experience, quality.. the list goes on.

  I chose this restaurant for my birthday lunch because we love Italian everything & I've been to the downtown location before & loved it. Today was the worst lunch experience for both of us & clearly it was bad because I've never typed a bad review for anywhere, let alone on my birthday afternoon!!!
  
  At first we thought our server was nervous so we gave her that, but soon learned she was just not engaged, poor at her job & actually rude. We dismissed this because let's face it, if the food is delish we can overlook poor service. We started with the calamari....which was tasty but the sauce was clearly from a bottle.... It tasted like catsup.... We then had the risotto balls which were ok but I have never been to an Italian restaurant that served powdered Parmesan????? We then all of a sudden had a new server who brought us our carbonara.... Never quality checked it and we couldn't stomach it... We each had one forkful and stopped... Horrible....soaked with oil... We truly couldn't leave fast enough.... We dine out often... Are very generous tippers & we truly struggled with how much to leave as we were so disappointed... A very disappointing experience & we will be choosing the many other options available to us lucky Albertans for the future .... Boo on Sorrentinos!!!!! Go somewhere else people!
