  The Hotel Selkirk was great. The Selkirk suite was the level of elegance you would expect from a fancy hotel set in the 1940's. As such, there was no TV in the room but with free access to Fort Edmonton, who needs TV. And because the hotel is located in the park, one of the biggest things we noticed was quiet. It was one of the most peaceful hotels I have ever stayed in. Even without a TV, I would pick this hotel over more luxurious hotels in downtown Edmonton. And at half the price per night compared to those same luxurious hotels, the Selkirk is a bargain to boot. A fantastic stay that might just become an annual event.

  Went to the Dead Centre show here for Halloween. Great performance by the actors. The hotel looks very old and creaky. I'm not sure what it would be like to actually stay here.
